ZCS successfully helped Klamath Falls City Schools apply for a $1.4 million-dollar grant to seismically rehabilitate the 1949 auditorium located at the Mills Elementary School campus. ZCS served as the prime consultant and offered structural engineering, construction administration, and special inspection services. Rehabilitation efforts included the design of a structural steel support system that utilized x-bracing on the interior walls and complete replacement of the roof structure.
Built in 1949, the auditorium located at the Mills Elementary School serves the entire Klamath Falls City School District. Being over 65 years old, the auditorium needed to be seismically rehabilitated to meet current prescribed code loading and detailing.
